Introduction

<aside> 💡 This document covers the services and infrastructure included in Skip’s Ecosystem Development Kit (EDK) for POKT Network. The EDK includes rollup & interop infrastructure + developer tooling, on-chain utilities (e.g. an enshrined oracle), and hands-on support for developing a sovereign rollup.

The EDK will cost $15,000/month plus data-posting services on a cost-plus 20% basis. Skip can provide additional services and provision additional infrastructure for additional charges.

POKT will receive an exclusive discounts for the first year:

• 50% discount on base cost of the platform ($7,500 per month)
• 100% subsidy for the cost of posting data (FREE)
• 25% discount on all additional infrastructure and services (See per service pricing below)

<aside> 🗣 We’re very open to feedback. POKT is a pilot customer for Skip and for Rollkit, so we want to flexible with pricing and find a solution that works for the community. We came to the pricing scheme here after extensive review of the POKT tokenomics, our own internal infrastructure costs historically, and the Celestia fee model.

Ultimately, we want a model that is simple, fair, competitive, and sustainable.

We also considered a number of alternatives, including:

• More granular, dynamic resource-based pricing (e.g. per GB of storage, per KB of I/O, etc…)
• More granular service pricing where you could pick-and-choose parts of the platform (e.g. price sequence
• A single fixed price that would support unlimited dynamic scaling + throughput
• A direct revenue sharing scheme based on transaction fees and/or inflation

We’d be interested to know if any of these—or another creative alternative—would be more compelling for you.
